On yer bike

Well hello there fair middens. The recent spell of exceptional weather that we have had plus my recent illness has inspired me to take some more exercise and I have invested in a mountain bike, which will see me ditching the car for runs to work in favour of the bike.

As I live a few hundred feet up a hill and work at sea level this is no mean feat........especially as I work three shifts per day.

In my younger, fitter days I was right into mountain biking but have done none of it for a long time......guess I am gonna have sore muscles for a while until I get used to it again.

Another good reason for getting back on the bike (although I
didn't know this at the time) is that I heard today that petrol is gonna reach £1.50 per litre by September.....don't think I could afford to run the car very often at those prices.

Anyway folks, on that note, I will bid you farewell for the noo.

Hullo Andy......guid tae hear yur up an aboot.... must be feelin bettur if yur back oan yur mountain bike!!! I huv been tellin masel fur the past couple a months tae git ridin mine tae git mair exercise...bit ah'v no been ridin fur YEARS an ahm scared ah'l faw aff an make an even biggur ass ah masel.....lol Goat ah wee trampoline fur haime...oanly problum is ivury time i git oan my dug Bessie want tae jump oan tae ! an thurs nae room fur us baith.....lol an ah'v ah swiss baw tae...bit ahm aye fawin aff the hing.....lol....So if ye need ah guid laff jist picture me an Bessie an ma swiss baw....lol
An am aboot tae start Tai Chi classes soon......so that will be ah guid laff anaw...should git a video ah me tryin tae dae mah exercises...it wid sell fast as a Greatest Laff Video ever....lol

Aye, must have been a psychic moment when I got the bike 'cos I was taking my son to play football about 20 miles away from the Fort and the engine of my car blew up......oil everywhere.....so whether I wanted to or not I am now on my bike.
