hi there,
I pop in here from time to time, I thought I had registared years ago but seems I hadn't and like most no doubt---- I had a lot of trouble , must be as thick as two short planks, my 15year old grandson came to my rescue, these kids they know everything. well I live in auckland new zealand have done for 33 years, been home maybe about 8/9 times but we are giving serious thought to going home for good, my daughter 's marriage broke up 6years ago and although--
he has moved on and has another child -----he still wants to be in her life controlling it . so to be on the other side of the world seems a good idea. has anyone any suggestions as to whether it is a good or bad idea, I would be grateful for any and all input. cheers betty

Ah live ower in Oz......Wow been haime fur a visit 8 or 9 times!!! lucky you.......
Weel as far as giving you advice as to movin haime...weel ah hink thats a big decision an oanly you an your Daughter an hur kids..... are qualified tae answur that yin................ sorry ah cannae help ye oot, wi oany advice. Ah wid hink yur Daughter wid hiv tae git permission frae hur ex.......... tae move the kids ... weel assumin they have kids...... ower seas, an if he is so controlin ah wid guess that wid be an awffie big job.
Its ah shame that he is tryin tae control her still.............. an ah hope ahm no gawn too far here............. bit ahm a believer in nabiddy can control us unless we lit thum..... by that I mean he has control over what / how he treats her.... BUT SHE has CONTROL over how SHE REACTS to HIM....probably no much help ......... bit thats my thoughts....
Hope ahve no made ye feel bad Betty, cuz ah wid nivur say sumhin tae offend or hurt oanyin ah aye try mah best tae help....

hi heelancoo, It takes a lot to offend me so don't worry on that score, my daughter has 2 a boy 16 and a girl 14, and she is more than capable in handling him[now] not in the past she wasn't, but she has a lot of strength now with all that she has been through. I guess you know I haven't told you all the story, but we nearly had him gone from her life when something happened with my grandaughter-----she has to have a lot of tests done and we are waiting results, so my daughter had to tell him what was going on------so now he texts her and e-mails her god knows how many times a day, that was part of the problem before , he played around -------she left---------and he made her life a misery from then on --------he is a policeman!!!!! so she got no joy from them when she made her complaints--------- so now she has got him every day again------------so the best thing we can think of is going back home as far away from him as we can get. but I would like to find out if anyone area is better than another-----and if anyone knows about schools there etc etc my sisters stay in preston pans and haddington-------------my husbands family stay in glasgow and further up north. any input will be good   take care good folks are scarce betty |

Hullo Betty, sorry tae hear aboot all yur lassis problums.....aye ah kin see how him being a policeman would certainly make things very difficult. I cannae help ye oot aboot schools an different area's.......... obviously cause I live doon undur.... Bit Mibbie Satman or Wee Bawhied kin help ye oot wi that information. Satman is no weel the noo, so he's no aboot the boards much, and Bawhied husnae been aroond much lately.... bit ahm sure yin ah thum will be aboot sooer or later! Satman hus kids so he wid ken aboot guid schools an stuff an Bawhied looks eftur wains so she wid ken aboot hings anaw. Bawhieds frae Glesga an Satman lives in Fort William so ah hope they read your request soon.
