Sadly folks I will have to decline doing any more decks once this one is finished. It is one deck too many, but as I have started I will finish. My condition means that after a coupla hours work on the deck I am on walking sticks for the rest of the day. The tools will be thrown away after this one.
Angel what size of deck are you having built....that seems rather expensive!!!!!!

Aye it's no cheap Andy bit it's oanly jist ower 3x4 meters and twa steps!!! Ah wish ah hud ah son-in-law that could dae it fur me....... bit thur aye busy.

3x4, really? Geeze that is very expensive. I could have flown over for a weekend and still have done it a lot cheaper!!!!!!!
The one I am building just now is 8x4, split level,with a step and ballistrading and will cost under £1,000 (don't know how that equates in Australian dollars) by the time I am finished.

1,000 pounds is $2384.06 so ye kin see whit we'r been charged eh !

Some updated photos. Started building and installing the ballistrading. The first piece in place:     Who's that having a cuppa?   I prepared all the wood, cutting it to size and routing it out and the missus assembled it all...didn't she make a good job. I knew i married her for some reason!!!! |

Mine is nearly finished. the decks done but no stairs yet.. an the man's still here putin up the pergola.......... bit no nice fance wurk like the yin. you hiv dun...
