 Recipe for Microwave Tablet [Candy To Our Friends Across The Pond] You will need a large microwaveable bowl as the contents do bubble up. 500grams caster sugar 125grams unsalted butter small tin of evaporated milk Place all the ingredients in the bowl and microwave on full power for 4 minutes Remove and stir Return to microwave and cook on full power for 4 minutes Remove and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Return to microwave and cook on full power for 4 minutes Remove and beat well Pour into tin and allow to set Mark into squares and serve

Mah youngest daughter Tammie usually makes tablet fur me, or mah big sistur Koala........ah reckon theirs is bettur thin mine.....weel thats mah story an ah'm stickin tae it....lol lol lol ( real truth is ahm jist too bloody lazy)

I'm staying clear of that one. Sugar and microwaves don't mix well. Far too volatile. Leave it a wee bit too long and kaboom, bursts into flames.

I'm with you Andy, it's a bit like eggs, put it in a micro at yer peril. I'll stick to the old oven for my cooking and just thaw the butter and icecream in the micro.

Weel ah made tablet oan the week-end..... bit ah didnae yase the microwave I yased the stove top. It turned oot no bad............ awe ah hive tae dae noo is stay OOT the Fridge!...  or ah'l be even fattur than ah am noo.. an the bairns wulnae git oany tablet fur Christmas!! An they love Tablet ! |

Wow, sounds good, but a little too much sugar for me. LOL This is the kind of thing I would have made many many years ago, for the kids!!
