It's been raining every night in New York. Never seen anything like it. My quince tree has a disease as a result. Must get up on a tall ladder and prune the branches, dipping the pruning shears in chlorine bleach between each cut. <ECCCH!> Can't lose a mature English quince. We'll have no lovely quinces this year. <sob!!!> My neighbour is visiting so we are eating well. He keeps me busy in the kitchen... cooking food. Arroz con pollo for dinner tonight. You're all welcome to join us. The old farmer is planting a Cox Orange Pippin in my garden. Can't buy those English apples over here. Summer in New York is very hot. At least we are starting with water this year... from the rain. I'll send some to Koala. Bawheid, a new 'puter is gey exciting. Guid luck wi' it. Ma wee ThinkPad is gettin' auld. Th' keyboard is wearin' oot. But it's summer. Beach weather.

Och! I am pea green wi' envy... a new puter. Just keep yur door locked or it will be nicked by a light-fingered Sassenach. <Ha ha!> This afternoon, I put a nice software firewall into the auld farmer's wee notebook an' cleared oot th' spyware. Just for fun, I fixed it so his Outlook Express now plays the opening bars of Scotland The Brave when he receives incoming e-mail. <wicked giggle> More rain. I'll send it to Oz so they can use it. We had Australian lamb for dinner. Our market doesn't sell American lamb. Strange, isn't it!
