Just got a call from my daughter from the hospital and the surgeon said he was very pleased at how well things went. He was pretty confident that the tumor is completely removed and that everything else went even better than he hoped. They had her on an epidural as the side effects are less harmful than other drugs and she will stay on it for a day or two.
Thanks everyone for your prayers and positive vibes and thoughts, we think we may be turning the corner now and good things are in the offing.

As merr news comes tae us, things are soundin better an better. It seems they managed tae save the knee but replaced the femur an she wis movin hurr toes an foot when she came to. We should know in a couple o days when she will get home bit wurr aw ower the moon jist noo. Ma daughter said Maddie wis suckin oan a freezie (ice lolly) as she wis callin us an she wis still a wee bit groggy bit smilin. That's the first an the toughest hurdle past her. Wi know it's no gonny be smooth sailin aw the wey furr her an therrs the rehab an merr surgery tae come but ah think wurr aw relieved that the cancer is oot hurr wee body noo. Thanks again an again, ah canny thank yis aw enough. Johnny (an the whole family)  . |

Thats guid news Johnny, we ken thurs rehab fur ((Maddie))) bit she wull dae jist grand.. she's proved whit a strong an courageus wee lassie she is!
The cancer is oot an thats whit matters the noo.
(((Maddie))) is oan the mend, an ah jist feel she wull continue to amaze you aw wi how fast she will mend! And how she will cope wi the rehab. It's a guid sign she can wiggle hur taes, an smile ! whit ah wee champion!!!

We wur talking tae Maddie the day an tellin hur aboot aw you great folk oan OWH. She sends hur love an a big kiss tae every wan o ye. She wis staunin oan her feet oan Friday an the therapist wiz amazed that she wis able tae withoot too much help.
She might be hame Tuesday or Wednesday.
